Crying over spilled coffee...
The other day I was sitting on the porch watching the kids play while I enjoyed a mug of coffee. It was a rare, relatively "cool" summer morning in the deep south. All of a sudden an excited little one ran up to me, promptly sloshing coffee all down my arm! Thank goodness I am a mama, otherwise that would have been painfully scalding hot coffee burning a scorch mark down my arm instead of the mildly lukewarm stream of annoyance. Annoyed as I was, I simply had my little one help me clean up the spill after they told me what they were so excited about in the first place.
What happens when life bumps into us?
You see, we all have something inside us... sometimes it just takes a little bump from someone for it to come pouring out, Creative. And we all have something Good inside us to share with the world. We just need to connect with the right Encourager, the right bump, to share what we always knew was there but weren't sure how to tap into or were just scared to share.
Oh... you thought this was going to be about us spilling out what we are filled with so make sure you're full of life giving things and not so much negativity? Well that's all well and good and true.
But.
let go of the strangling Shoulds
I think more of us are in need of being bumped so we let go of the strangling Shoulds and open our death-grip on surviving this life we've built out of those Shoulds.
Then we can recieve the Flow that comes from releasing our God-given Purpose. And when you see it Flow, you will look over it and know it to be very Good.
