Can we normalize "making it" in the ordinary?

Society idolizes “making it big” in every career field whether it be sports, celebrity, politics, academics, or art. But what if we just took a minute to normalize “making it” in the ordinary?

Celebrate the mama who gave up her successful career because she just wanted to live into her calling to raise her children and provide a nurturing home. Or the mama who is showing her kids what it means to be 100% present where you are, whether it’s at work or play or with family; you don’t have to choose to sacrifice, but you do have to choose what gets your focus in that moment. Celebrate the teacher who works grueling hours with high demands and little pay, but loves what they do and shows up because they worry who else will care for those students like they do. Celebrate the high school graduate that chooses to be an apprentice and start a career versus going to college. Celebrate the guy who shows up everyday at work, gets the job done, goes home to play with his kids and do some laundry.

Celebrate the person

that gets up, works with genuine care, does their best to be a good person, goes home to gratefully care for the people and things in their life, that completes the mundane tasks just because it needs to be done and that’s ok by them…and does it all again the next day.

The life that the majority of us live, that’s making it. The showing up. The finding joy in every day. The not wishing for more without loving what is already there.

What’s your ordinary? let’s talk. i want to celebrate your everyday!
